A Little Day Music

We experienced some musical creativity this past weekend since Tim, Margaret and Eleanor had their strings recital.

Anne studied the program carefully and found out that Eleanor was playing “Edelweiss,” Margaret was playing the theme from “Jurassic Park,” and Tim was playing Papini’s Theme and Variations. (And Joey really was alert…not sure what was going on photographically here.)

Charlotte waited patiently, sans tooth.

Then, the recital began…

and suddenly, it was over as their fab teacher, Amy, treated us to a duet with her dad: “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”

Amy has a tradition of presenting roses to her students.

Can you tell there is happiness in the room?

And since I accompanied my crew on the piano, Amy gave me a rose, too.

After the recital, Joey had the brill idea of going to the fun, wheelchair-accessible playground for the rest of the afternoon. Music + playground = Total Family Fun. It was the nicest weekend.
