After the excitement of posing with Larry Gatlin, we wondered if the midway rides could measure up! I think they did. At least the reports from the participants seemed to indicate that they did. Those of us who had already been on the tram waited patiently.
While Levi and Eleanor went on this crazy Ring of Fire ride.
Despite the theatrical screaming coming out of Levi that almost had us literally ROFLOL, they survived.
Then Levi and Margaret went on this ride.
They came out sweaty, but alive.
Next, it was time for the free hot dogs, compliments of the summer reading program (which also provided the gate tickets, thankyouverymuch)!
Finally, we went through the 4-H building and attempted to locate the kids’ 4-H projects. At least the photos were easy to find.
(I dubbed this section the “Pinterest Area” of the building…what do you think?)
We found Margaret’s watercolor, too.
And Tim’s wildlife exhibits.
Charlotte remembered making a beaded bracelet at one booth last year, so Edmund and I watched her bead for awhile.
It was time to leave…but not before one last Tiger Show!
We bid farewell to the State Fair.
It really was a lot of fun!
