Ten photos in ten consecutive hours on July 10, 2012. Thanks to Rebekah at A Bit of Sunshine for the inspiration, as always!
1. My 4:15am appointment with the Word (and what got my attention today was that Jesus’ soul was deeply grieved to the point of death…there’s nothing that I might experience with which He is not familiar); 2. Little wheat kernels about to be milled into flour for muffins; 3. Tim, the professional doughnut glazer; 4. Sweet potato-ginger muffins made with the freshly ground flour; 5. My very bubbly sponge for bread; 6. Harriet, our little bakery taste-tester; 7. Hmm…wonder what we’re brewing up at the bakery this morning? 8. Birthday Girl!!!! She’s actually 12 years old today! 9. We made A LOT of progress on the work-in-progress bakery basement project (consider this a “before” picture); 10. Yummy, warm bread from my earlier sponge.
Thankfully, Rebekah at A Bit of Sunshine sent out her usual reminder for Ten on Ten yesterday…otherwise, being entirely out of routine, I know I would have forgotten!
1. Eleanor, Boo and I watch one more HGTV show in the motel room while we wait for Jacob to return from his last dog grooming class; 2. The dolls are ready to go home; 3. Jacob and Boo display their winnings as we load up to leave Denver; 4. A final Target run was necessary; 5. As was a Starbucks run; 6. Eastern Colorado; 7. Our usual rest stop stop; 8. More Eastern Colorado; 9. Eleanor and Boo are good travelers; 10. Sustenance for the final leg of the trip.
Whew! I’m so glad that I remembered that today is the 10th. And I’m so glad that Rebekah (new mom though she is!) gives me the excuse to take ten photos in ten hours on this day.
1. Early morning with my oatmeal, the Word and Tim’s itinerary; 2. Getting the dough going in the big mixer; 3. Twists ready for the fryer; 4. As soon as the case is filled, it starts emptying–yea! 5. Cinnamon rolls; 6. My partner in…well, just about everything; 7. Whole wheat bread for a special order; 8. Annie is our quality control specialist; 9. A little homework before chemistry class; 10. Baked loaves.
(Yes, these days I’m helping more at the bakery in the wee smas. Usually I go home right after we get everything done in the fryer, but today I stayed and the kids came to the bakery for their school day. We are grateful to have lots of special orders associated with graduation parties…and with our graduate himself off exploring the world, I am definitely filling in. Whew, again.)
Yipee! It’s Ten on Ten!
Started the morning with this week’s Take a Stitch Tuesday challenge.
I think Annie was playing “Reveille.”
Oh, how I love Family Math.
Eleanor helped me make some new window decorations.
Had to squeeze in a little Peer Counselor work before the afternoon ended.
Tim practiced for his trip.
